RESEARCH / EAST LAKE WASHINGTON
Work in the East Lake Sammamish area is beginning in 2004, part of an
overall project with the King County Wastewater Division that is providing
a geologic database, and a new series of geologic maps, throughout the
Regional Wastewater Service Planning area. We are developing a detailed
understanding and representation of the distribution of geologic materials
on and beneath the surface of these areas, embedding that information in
the context of a coherent, regionally integrated geologic framework for
the central Puget Sound region. Data acquisition will continue throughout
2004; geologic mapping will begin in 2005, in cooperation with the cities
of this area.
