GeoMapNW - Online Geodatabase Data Access
ONLINE GEODATABASE

This PUBLIC ACCESS geologic database contains subsurface geologic data that has been collected from documents provided by local agencies and companies. The
Pacific Northwest Center for Geologic Mapping Studies is sponsored jointly by the U.S. Geological Survey, the City of Seattle, King County, and the Center for Water and Watershed Studies. It is one component of an ongoing effort to utilize a Geographical Information System (GIS) format to create a regional digital geologic database and new geologic maps for the Puget Sound region. The subsurface data available on this website are in a format that can be accessed by either using a graphical (map) or text based query tool. Using either interface, one is able to: 1) locate points on the landscape where we have entered subsurface geologic data, and 2) display the available subsurface data in a table format.

We use State Plane (NAD 1983, Washington North) in U.S. feet as our working coordinates, and on our online Geodatabase.

Be sure to disable any popup blockers that you may have enabled on your system or web browser, as these will block the "identify" window while using the map interface.
