DATA COLLECTION Existing geologic and geotechnical data (primarily boring and test pit logs) are being acquired from both public agencies and private-sector consultants. The cover sheet shown below summarizes the types of data being copied. The data are being gathered from city building and utility departments, as well as county, state and federal agencies. A list of these agencies is available in on the Data Sources page. Ultimately, all data are entered into our geodatabase and are used to construct GIS layers with detailed spatial information and descriptive data for all types of geologic sources.
